Handeld Tuners

Are any of the handheld tuners worth looking into for my truck? Are the gains noticeable? Do they support TCM modification? Any info or experiences with them would be appreciated. Which brands are the best to look at?

Diablo is one of the best, but none support the tcm modifications, you'll have to get a custom tune inorder to do that I currently have it and really like it, but I'm ready for TCM support so I'm getting a custom tune soon.

i recommend a diablo. They are great chips. im extremely impressed with mine.

 

if you buy a diablo i strongly recommend you talking to Lew ( 06montecarloSS, i think thats his user name, lol) he does custom tuning over the diablo and for CHEAP,) he will do everything you would expect AND more, he basically works miracles with all gmc/chevy vehicles.

yes... the diablosport 7194 model predator or the Trinity will support your truck... you'll notice some gains right off the bat with the preset tunes (that are created based on dyno tunes done on the same vehicle!)...

 

and yes, you can gain even more with a custom tune done for it as well....

 

you'll gain even more/quicker throttle response, acceleration, stronger/harder pull, and even better mileage, if you can keep your foot out of it - hahahah!!

 

and shifting can be improved as well for when you get on it!!

 

If it was MY truck (or even, car), I would get the Trinity... it has more features, better data logging, and will have more updates available for it in the future, such as complete TCM control, and the ability to tune more than one vehicle at a time... which the predator will not get...
