Doesn't Gm Make Parts Diagrams Available On The Web?

I'm really surprised that GM still doesn't seem to have parts diagrams posted on their website. The Chevy site is nothing but a big sales pitch.

I simply need to replace some brake lines on my 2004 Silverado 1500 Ext. Cab. I'd like to see a diagram of how the plastic hangers that hold the bundle of 4 lines (beneath the drivers door) are attached to the frame. I don't want to break anything unnecesarilly.

I can go to Porsche.com & get the complete car parts list & diagrams for my 1978 928. That makes it hard for me to believe that GM/Chevy doesn't offer anything similar.

Please tell me I'm missing something obvious!

Thanks for any information.

IDK if the Chevy Website can give it to you (I think the site sucks), but your dealer might be able to print one out for you?

In another week or so, I might have thought of that, myself...

Thanks for the reply, man!

Send the guys at GM Parts Direct an email, they can get you part numbers. There's a HUGE difference between a 78 Porche and a 2004 Chevy. You know how many diagrams and books there are for 60s and 70s El Caminos, Chevelles, etc, tons.
