I was hoping you might help with some thoughts on my YXL Denali Troubles.

VIN 1GKFK66UX3J157197

Truck has self leveling suspension that stopped leveling about 6 months ago - with accompanying error message.

About 3 months ago I would get intermittant "stability system deactivated" errors - particularly when it was raining out.

A few weeks ago I was pulling out of my driveway and all of a sudden the power steering would not work turning left. It still worked turning right.

I took it to a local mechanic shop that car guys I know have had a good experience with and they advised that there is a slide valve in the steering gear that is stuck/dirty and is inhibiting turning left. My thought is that the pump pressure + hydroboost would explode a power steering line if there was a stuck valve and build up in pressure.

Mechanic did a diagnostic check and came up with C0660 LEVEL CONTROL VALVE MALFUNCTION.

Mechanic want to replace the Steering Gear. I can do that myself, provided I get the right one. I have checked VIN look up sites and cannot figure out of mine has Y91 or not.

Any thoughts -other than this is a disorganized late night ramble?

If Y91 is an RPO code, then it would be found on the sticker in your glove box where they are all listed.

Will check! Thank you.
