Lt Tires On Sierra Sle K1500

I'm replacing my P265/70R17 Bridgestone Dueler AT's with LT265/70R17 LRE Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10 light truck tires and I have some air pressure questions. The max air pressure for Dueler AT's is 44psi and I run them at 35psi per the door sticker and the Hankook tires have a max pressure of 80 psi to achieve the max load rating of 3195lb/tire. My question is what air pressure should I run these tires at 1) When Not loaded/towing & 2) when fully loaded or hauling my 16' Utility trailer fully loaded? Thanks.

I asked this same question to the people at Hankook tires and here's what they said:

 

"In order to carry the same load (2535 lbs/tire @ 35psi) as the original

tires, the new tire pressure should be 53psi. Roughly speaking, you

should increase the tire pressure 1psi for every 25lbs added. For

example, if you add 500lbs of weight to the rear axle the correct rear

tire inflation would be 61psi.

I just ordered some Dueller AT Revo 2's, 285/70R17s. How did you like your Bridgestones? Why are you switching?

I had over 43,000 on my original Bridgstone P-rated tires and they were getting near the end of their usefulness. I wanted to get a set of LT tires instead of the P-rated tires, because I tend to haul heavy loads in my truck and 16' Utility trailer. These heavy loads were really squatting my old P-rated tires and now the Load range-E LT tires don't squat at all with the loads I carry. The roads around here in western NY are going to hell, with all the pot holes and lack of maintenance and the LT tires can take the abuse way better than the stock tires that came on my truck. I was also considering the Revo's, but they would have cost me $400-$500 more than the Hankook's I got from Discount Tire (free shipping and no tax or NYS fees). With some of the money I saved I was able to buy an Air-Lift helper spring system that helps keep my truck level when hauling heavy loads.
