Gm Nav System Freezes

Wife's Enclave:

Out of no-where, the screen goes dark, and the system appears "frozen" where it was, playing a channel, nothing else is functional. Volume control doesn't work, steering wheel controls don't work, can't turn the system off via the volume button, it's just hung in that state... :P

Shutting off the car and opening the door to get the interior electronics to shut off (overiding the delay), appears to "reset" it, afterwhich it works again. Apparently this has happened twice now at random times. Actually witnessed it yesterday.

It's under warranty, and, sure, we'll take it in, BUT, seems like it's going to be a pain until this problem makes itself known for good. You know, dealer saying, "can't reproduce", etc. etc..

Just seeing if anyone else has seen/experienced this behavior. Could it be that a random fuse is out? I'll check that this evening, but, that doesn't make sense to me as everything else appears to be working normally....

2008 Enclave, Bose, Nav system with the screen including backup camera and rear seat fold down screen.

Thanks for your input/thoughts in advance.

I would get the latest Navigation DVD V5.0 and do a software update and see if that fixes it like the last v4.1c that had some significant software upgrades like the larger clock, etc etc.

Maybe ask the dealer to reload the map DVD for you if its under warranty.

Just returned from a 1300 mile round trip with no problems on my Buick Lucerne Nav. I believe I have the 2008 version DVD.
