Painted Dash/interior On My '08

Been meaning to post these for a while. Did this all last week. Everything was prepped and painted Monday night. Painted until 3:30 in the morning. Put it all back together the next afternoon. Black was sprayed on everything and the pieces that were silver got sprayed with a red pearl coat over top of the black. Ended up looking like a dark cherry red color. Its not bad, but unsure if I like the red or not. I'm wishing I would of kept the gauge cluster piece black. Maybe later on I'll find someone with an ext. cab with an LT interior and trade the silver plastics and paint those black.

 

All prepped and ready to be sprayed.

 

 

Sealer.

 

Black.

 

Red pearl.

 

 

I lost the little rubber nipple thing on the glove box door latch, need to get another one.

Wasn't all that bad. Had some bumps trying to get the steering wheels pieces off and put back on. Everything all pops off and is held on by clips...air vents, 4wd switch, cubby hole/pockets, etc.

And if anyone wants to know how to dissamble the OEM radio faceplate, I made up a how to on another forum. It doesn't pop off like the HVAC piece.

That came out looking Great! I like that dark red.

The cherry/red looks awesome - but the black has alot of orange peel in it - you really sprayed it on thick.
