i was killing time looking at truck videos and stumbled across this, what the hell causes that?

Yeah that video has been around for a long time but cant remember why they had that problem.

we had to get rid of couple of our work trucks cuase they were to dangerous to be pullin up on site especially when you got l.e.ls kicking around.

its part of the emissions. the truck collects i think its nox particles and then gets the exhaust real hot to burn them off- except the initial batches of trucks would burn too hot, and youd get a flamethrower.
