Just got new Chevy truck

Just got home with my new/used truck.2000 std cab 5.3 chebby.This 5.3 is way impressive in the high rpm's.What a big improvement over the last model!! more cab room better ride and less NVH.Don't test drive one if you can afford it!! Signature to change soon! Pictures soon!

Yep, made the "mistake" of driving one back when they first came out in the '99 model year...I think I fought it for a couple months, but after awhile I was the owner of a brand new '99 GMC X-cab with the 5.3...sweet engine, tight truck.

I felt the same way when i bought my Z71 i couldnt belive what i was missing compaired to my 97 s-10, dont get me wrong that truck was awsome, i felt bad giving it up but it was for the better

I will agree on the 5.3 being a very impressive engine.. Our silverado is going to roll over the 100000k mark and we havent had a problem with it yet.. Its almost a shame we have to get rid of it.. Even though the k's are high this will be a great truck to someone..

I agree with everyone about the 5.3. Decent gas milage, if I can keep my foot off the floorboard, quiet interior, and very little road noise. Haven't had any of the seals leaking, or rubber flapping, luckily!
