Door/fender Issues

Hey guys, my drivers door started squeaking about a week ago, and I thought it was the hinges, and I went to clean and lube them I noticed that the door was rubbing the fender, and had wore some paint offsad.gif

Here's some pics:

You can see the gap getting smaller

Also the other side of the door has a good gap, about identical to the other side, so I'm not sure. My grandpa was kind of a big guy, and probably used the door and steering wheel to get in, so that may have wore something

What options do I have to fix it?

Door Bushings, fender adjustment, door adjustment door pins?

Does the door have slack when you open it. Open the door and pick up on the end. If its got slack then you need the bushings. The only adjustment is on the pin that the latch grabs. See the star head inside, loosen it and slide it up, down, in or out until the door (with no slack) shuts.

Probably bushings....... Shut the door...... Notice how high the door is, pull level only enough to unlatch the door notice the drop in door height. Now open about 2 inches and hold the bottom edge of the door at the striker post, pull up gently.... You probably will have a pretty good bit of play in the door. If so you need new pins and bushings.
