erieaddict Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 I have a 2002, 2500 HD, 2WD, 6.0. I have the strangest vibration. when the vehicle is cold, it rides as good as it ever has. After about 15 -20 minutes of driving, when i hit the brakes a get a pulsing vibration in the seat of my pants and steering wheel, the truck seems to be bouncing up and down. Almost like a wheel is out of balence bad. at around 45-55 i get the same vibration, but not as bad as when i hit the brakes. At 65-75 it is smooth as silk. Wheels are tight, and torqued. Replaced both wheel hubs/bearings back in October as well as the brake pads. This has me stumped. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
mkurcz Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Have you had your wheels balanced?? Mine was doing the same thing and then a friend told me to get them balanced and then it was all good!!!
erieaddict Posted June 5, 2010 Author Posted June 5, 2010 Will get them rotated and balenced in the AM. Strange thing is, I just went out and drove it tonight for about 2 hours and it ran fine. No wooble or vibration. Most of the time this truck sits other than pulling a boat, 20' enclosed tralier with ATV's or snowmobiles. Just started doing it about a week ago, I could understand the tires being flat spotted from sitting, but it only does it when it is warmed up, sometimes.
