Rust Repair Panel

Don't know it this is the right section, but off topic, so what the heck. I was wondering if anyone knows how thick a rust repair panel is. It would be for the cab corner and the wheel well on a silverado. Thanks. Sorry if this is the wrong section.

sorry, didn't know that made a difference. It is a 92. I was thinking of using a flange tool, to put a lip, so the patch, would be done with a butt weld. Thanks

Some repair panels are thinker metal than others,but i don't know which ones are better. Also if you are using a flange tool I wouldn't call that a butt weld. But i could be wrong.

The panel would sit flat on the lip.

i don't know if it would be better to do plug welds instead of the but welds. I think it would be less post weld work. Thanks for the replys.
