I got an 09 silverado with electric and power heated mirrors. Will the towing version with the electric and power heat work on it? Like will they use the same plugs?

Yes they should work. The plugs are the same.

  Get a code reader that can scan for airbag system codes and start there. Codes give you clues/diagnostic points.
