3 Or 4 Groove Pitman Arm?

Is it true that all Sierra 1500's except for the HD models have 4 groove pitman arms where the HD models have 3 groove?

and why is this a concern to you fellow canuckle head?

 

 

I need to change mine out on my 06 and would like to know without tearing it apart first.

HD uses the 3 spline, but non HD can use vary from 3 or 4 spline depending on application.

 

Buy both, return the unused one.

I need one too! I was hoping to buy online and didnt want to buy 2, I dont think my truck is an HD but once when buying rear brakepad I found out mine needed ones for an HD/quadrasteer. as the pads they gave me for a regualr half ton where much smaller then what i actually had. I know i sound dumb.....and I am...but dont HDs have 8 bolt wheels and such? Like something obvious to give it away, there is no badging on the truck
