Street Vs. Dyno Tuning?

Recommended Posts

Any compelling reasons to spend $200 more to get the dyno AND street tuning, not just street? Price isn't a big issue, but I don't want to throw money away on things I don't need. From my understanding, dyno tuning is for WOT tuning (something my truck may never see) for performance cars, and street tuning handles your daily shifting and acceleration tuning. So it the dyno tune worth $200 on a daily driver truck? Thanks guys.

If you are going to spend money on a dyno tune, be sure it is on a load bearing dyno. If they are just doing a few WOT pulls, that is not the best way to tune. Also, make sure your tuner takes you out on the street to double check everything. Vehicles should be checked on the street to transmission check the shifts.
