14'' Magnaflow Dumped

well i finally took the plunge and hacked my stock exhaust off. in its place sits a 14'' magnaflow, 3'' in/out, with a 3 '' turn down. very simple install overall, but i still have to add one more exhaust hanger. sound wise, its awesome! im glad i went with the 14''. you definitely hear it in the cab when you get on it, but while cruising, it sounds a little louder than stock. The AFM really sucks with this setup, it sounds like the truck is missing in v4 mode. im still working on getting a sound clip for you guys, but i do have a couple pics for you.

Looks good. Get a sound clip ASAP!!

And get a tune to get rid of that AFM

Sounds good from what I can hear in the cab. Video worked too btw. Get one of a startup and some revs from outside the truck.

Most do. That would work great.

hey LSU, do you have any problems parking your truck in a normal sized garage? like driving thru a 7' tall opening?

Nope. With my setup my truck measures in right around 6'8" to the top of the shark fin. I think that's what I had measured it. I know for sure it fits in 7' garages and also under 6'10" garages. It's scary as hell though. I need to measure again to know exactly.

cool. i think thats the setup im going to go for then. we pissed up when we built our garage. we only have 7' tall doors. i want to lift my truck, but i hate working outside on a vehicle. thanks for the info.

also, can you tell a difference in height from your truck compared to a stock one? like are you a good bit higher?

Yea you will be able to fit in 7' doors. It looks scary and you think you will hit but you won't.

And you can def tell the difference between stock and my truck height. Well I won't say definitely. At times if I drive next to a stock height I do question the height of mine. But when it's parked next to one its obvious. I think it's just being inside the truck throws off my perspective. I'm sure eventually I will go higher but not any time soon. This height gives an amazing stance while still letting it not be too tall or too big to do certain things.

yeah you could, but you might have to get the longer 18'' magnaflow to have the exhaust exit in the same place as stock. the 14'' magnaflow is shorter than the stock muffler.

i want a big lifted truck really badly, but at the same time i cant have it be non functional. i know there are guys out there that will swear there truck is just as functional as stock, but i dont consider it functional to me. for example loading a big 4x4 atv into the bed of a lifted truck is alot harder than a stock height truck.

plus, i dont want to re gear, so 33's are my limit in tire size. eventually when i would have some extra cash i could re gear to say 4.56s to get my power pack. but thats down the road.

overall i think is a great setup. why pay 1500 bucks to fit 33's with a suspension lift, when u can do it for 500 with a level and body lift.
