Power Steering Pressure Hose Removal ?

I have a 1999 c-2500 with the 5.7, i beleive i have a slow leak in the powersteering pressure hose. ( at least this is what gets covered with fluid first when i wipe everything down and then run it) The hose is connected to the steering box and the p/s pump. On the steering box side i think i can put a bunch of pressure on it and losen it. However on the p/s pump side when i try to turn it a small black plastic connecter that the hose is actually connected to trys to turn with it. If i use too much force i think i will break this connecter. Does anyone have any hints on getting this out?

Could you take a pic? I'm sure someone else will know what this plastic thing is. But, I don't, so BUMP.

@2001silverado364- i found out what it is. the Electronic Variable Oriface. so now my question is this: When i try to turn the hi-pressure hose where it attaches to the EVO. the EVO moves from side to side, almost as if it is not totally tight on the pump. Is this normal? (i can move it with my hands) Also, how much pressure can you put on this before it breaks clean off the pump?
