I did'nt run it dry, but I pushed the limit with gas consumption. I thought I had a 26G tank but it took 27.5 gallons before it clicked off. Was I on the edge?? How much has anyone ever put in the tank of one of these? the needle was WAY below the E mark.

You may have filled it up to the neck.  I know I do that sometimes.

Maybe the gas station is screwing you  :angry:

I've put in like 18 gallons before and the tank was reading 1/2.     I think their gas pumps were wrong.  Than again gas was very cheap at that place, cheaper than all the surrounding places.   Makes you think.

I'm wondering if we are getting screwed. I filled a jerry

can at our local Mobil in a pinch fitting 7 1/2 gal into

a six gallon can, right to the line. Hmm.

i just might take my 5g can to this same station and see if i can get 8-10 gallons in it
