Darn Caliper Bushings And Lube

I had a problem with the rubber boots swelling due to caliper lube being used. It was a synthetic lube but must have been too old for the new stuff. FAst forward, the rubber bushing that attaches to the caliper pins on the front and fits into the caliper bore has been swelling and causing the caliper to drag on my truck. I just replaced the rubber bushings again and this time trimmed the edges of the rubber to a cone to reduce the chance of them swelling and jamming in the bore. I have also replaced the bolts with reconditioned Torx bolts since they are shorter than the other pins sold.

The last two times I have used the CRC synthetic caliper lube. I have also used the purple permatex caliper lube. both have the same success and caused the bushings to swell and stick in the bore. The Torx bolts seem to have a smaller diameter relief cut at the end of the bolt that seems to allow them to possibly deal with a little more swelling.

I need help on what caliper lube to use to help prevent this problem. HHHHHHHHHHHEEEELLLLLLPPPPP.

I have never used any caliper lube. I only used bearing grease on the guides, not a lot, but just enough. never had a problem.
