H9 Instead Of H11 Gmt900

Anyone swapped their H11 low beams for H9s? Was it worth the little effort modding the H9 bulbs, or was light out put pretty much the same? Any issues with the wiring (H9s are 65w, H11 are 55w)? I was doing some research in HIRs for the high beams, and H9 replacements for H11 seem pretty common place for Toyota guys. Wanted to see if any of the Chevy/GMC boys have done it yet.

On a side note, anyone put the HIRs in the high beams? Is it really worth the cost (bulbs are up to $30 a piece now)?

doesnt seem worth the effort considering that you can buy higher output h11's now...

No one has done this huh? I just want to make sure the wiring doesn't fry from the extra 10 watts/9-10 amps. The bulbs are only like $20 total for 2 "standard" H9s. Even if they are the same as H11s, I just got myself a spare set of headlights for the same price as H11s.

Sorry - meant to say that you can already buy upgraded H11 bulbs in the previous reply.

Yes, it has been done but that was all before the actual H11 versions were available with more powerful options. Why would you wast your time modifying a light when you can buy the ones that are more powerful and designed to fit our lights? Go check oreilly or advance web sites for bulbs and you will see what i mean.
