New Headlights

I have a 2010 black Gmc Sierra Short Box and was trying to figure out what I should add to it next to make it look different from all the others. I've already added rims and exhaust and tinted windows and was thinking about switching up the headlights, does anyone know of any good halo projector headlights? I found these on ebay http://cgi.ebay.ca/2-SET-XENON-07-08-SIERR...rts_Accessories

they are pretty much the only headlights I have found for a 2010 GMC, I was just wondering if anyone has them and if there any good or if its just some foreign junk, I wish it didnt have the stupid LEDS though. If anyone knows of anything different let me know thanks.

IMO stay without them. You have a chrome on black look going and I think black headlights would throw that off. I completely understand the urge to stand out, I'm the same way. With the money you would spend on those lights you could go a few different ways.

I have never seen a GMC with this grille and I always thought it looked killer. http://www.stylintrucks.com/parts.aspx?cat...rtfamilyid=1680

Just throwing you a new idea. Great looking ride though. I'm a fan of those wheels.

I don't have experience with those or any other projector headlights. But I do know some users who have bought some ANZO USA lights for our trucks and they look and work ok. If you do buy the ebay brands sometimes you will have moisture problems but if you add an extra seal before you install them they should be ok. I saw these the other day and liked them becuase they were really different than the others http://www.gorecon.com/product.php?pk=412&...1&p_cat=100

There is also a sticky on the top of the forum that has quick links to mods. If you look on the first page I posted a link to heckdrivers write up on how he did retrofit projectors in his silverado. I will be going this route and doing my own one day.

You might try adding Denali headlights. They may be plug and play. If that isn't an option you might try adding some HIDs to your existing lights. DDM Tuning has lots of options. I just added a set to my Denali and I am very pleased with the quality, ease of installation, lifetime warranty (bulbs included). I got a whole set of 55W slim ballast HIDs for under $70 shipped 2nd day air.

Denali headlights are no different than a regular Sierra on the 07+.

STAY AWAY FROM THOSE HEADLIGHTS! Waste of money!! I had a set for my 08 Silverado and the cut offs were absolutely horrible! The halo rings on one side stopped working after 6 months, but they sure as hell looked sharp coming down the road - thats it. They're great for "Show" trucks and thats all - no functionality at all. HID's in your stockers would be the best bet, and like said before a T-Rex or similar tight woven mesh grill.

that grille definnitely doesnt look good on new chevy's. does look pretty good on GMCs tho!

BTW, nice pic of your truck. those OEM 18's are the rims i will have soon, when my buddy buys the 20's off my other buddies avalanche and gives his current 18's (same as yours) to me. i was glad to see your pic, looks just like the pic i photoshopped of the 18's on my truck, lol. and it looks damn good! just tryin to decide on the white lettered tires.

(sorry for the partial thread hi-jack)

Ya those headlights aren't to bad, and there arent as many leds. I don't think I would be brave enough to hack up my own headlights ha with my luck im sure they would be screwed, I just thought a tinted headlight with the halos looked cool, I find the light output of my stock headlights to be good considering I stepped up from a 1993 dodge dakota which had brighter running lights let alone headlights ha. I was just having a hard time finding a decent quality aftermarket light.

hey man, check the link in my sig....

I did my own retro-fit of a small HID projector (morimoto mini bi-xenon) into the OEM housing with a bit of elbow grease. Looks like it could almost be OEM (in my opinion) and not so much of the tuner look that is popular with the same crowd that enjoy the "coffee can mufflers".

The light output is awesome, and really install isnt tough either. Ck it out...
