Audio> Enclosure Problem

I need to have a dual 12" down firing box in my truck but the box has a max mounting depth of 6.5" per speaker. The infinity kappa perfect 12s I have require 7". Suggestions?

 

 

I have thought maybe adding a half inch ring when I mount them but is there a better way?__________________

1/4" ring. sand out the back of the box 1/4"

and washer up the back seats a 1/4" cuz it will likely sit a 1/4" to 1/2" higher by doing so.

The way I understand it is the box rests on the centerand leaves the speakers "floating". Its the atrend 182-12. Any one got it?

well you need to make sure speaker excursion will clear. you dont want them to hit the floor
