Power Door Locks

So.....several times over the last few months my driver's door power locks have refused to operate, either with the key fob or the inside buttons.

Booked an appointment with the local authorized dealer yesterday and went in today at 0900. Had my 2 kids with me and was debating on getting a ride home. Told the sevice advisor that I am a member of a forum and that I thought that it was a 'known' issue with the 2008 trucks.....he looked at me funny but left it at that. I was surprised as the truck went right in to a tech who had done this type of work before. Kids and I were looking at some of the new trucks and Camero SS (price of $75,000, which the kids liked and told me we should get it for Mom), in the lot when I was called back to the service desk, the truck was done, no charge, covered by warrenty.

Total time was 35 minutes for the truck to be taken in, diagnosed, parts department visit by the tech, parts installed, given back to me.

Thanks to this forum, I had no long wait or run around at the dealership.:cool:

75K? That's more than a vette. A loaded SS may tip the scales at 45K. Was it a custom job?

The ONLY special thing I saw was it was tagged with a GM Performance plate under the hood......mind you it comes with a 575 Hp engine hooked up with a supercharger......

Price doesn't make any sense at all. The Z28 will be coming out for 12 model and be supercharged, with an extimated price tag of $50k plus. You can take a Camaro SS for $40k and have a SC put on it for a few thousand (give or take) and have that kind of HP.
