Exhaust Piping Diameter

I'm not around my truck so I can't go outside and measure. Does anyone know what is the diameter of the exhaust piping that goes into the muffler on a 2010 sierra with the 5.3L? The exhaust is the stock system. Any help would be appreciated.

well on my 04 i believe a 3 inch goes in to the muffler and 2.75 out

No, your 04 is 2.75 in and 2.75 out. I got a complete one hanging in the garage.

Because the stock 2.75 fit inside the 3 inch. I just went out to the garage and put a dial caliper in it to make sure.
