Gmt900 Headlight Help *emergancy*

Alright, I'm trying to get the driver side headlight back in properly. Running out of time, daylight etc. Go somewhere I need to be and the sunlight is dropping. This is a 2010 silverado.

If I line the top 2 bolts up, the bottom of the light is not flush with the fender. If I line the light up correctly, the top 2 bolts are pulled .5 inch away from core support. Truck has never been wrecked. Period. The pins are in the fender, and the ear is in the slot. Someone please tell me a trick I'm over looking. Thanks.

Edit: Also noticing that the passenger side headlight has a small gap between itself and the fender. The driver side, when sitting flush against the fender with the top two bolt holes pulled away from the core support, the light is litterally rubbing the fender. The lip on the top of the light is above the fender, and the housing is rubbing the edge of the opening.

Gr. There has to be SOMETHING getting in the way, or something I am not doing right. The light won't even come out. I just unbolted it and moved it forward as far as I could (about 3-4 inches) to give myself some room to replace the lights. If I could get it out and take a peak behind it that might even help  It gets jammed between the fender and the bumper upon removal.

Got it. Sorry for cluttering up the board. Guess it will be good reference for someone having issues and google-ing.

The bottom right tab (looking at the front of the truck), or the one INSIDE the wheel well/fender liner, was not lining up correctly. My wife came to the rescue and noticed the top of the "ear" was trying to go inside the speed clip, while the bottom was trying to go outside. The ear was too small for the whole thing to fit inside the pocket for the speed clip, so we looked at the passenger side (which was stock, not touched) and sure enough, the ear should go to the OUTSIDE, or cover the speed clip. Once we got the ear to sit on the outside, she popped right into place like it was meant to. Tore up my clear 3M tape on the end of the fender, and put a little chip in the fender, but thank GOD it didn't break the ear off while it was doing that.
