I hear its junk and not to do it. Everyone has had had nothing but problems. I was told the way they fixed the problem the went down to 2.5 spacer. If your going to do it yes it can be done in a few hours. Keep us updated.

Is it the Rough Country 3 inch suspension lift? If so than you will save more money selling it and not installing it at all. Do a search of the Suspension section and you will see the reviews on this kit are 99.9% negative. Nothing but bad has come from this kit being on GMT900's. Goodluck

search...and read. it took me a total of 7 minutes from the time i considered the RC 3'' lift to the time i decided i was going a different route. it doesnt take long for the reviews of that kit to sink in. it is dirt cheap for a reason. i always ALWAYS search on GM-Trucks for reviews before purchasing something for my truck that may effect it mechanically in any which way. so far i have had good luck listening to these guys! i think you should too. SELL IT

Mine took me about 4 hours to install in my driveway, its been on since December and has 12k miles put on it with no issues so far, I did purchase the upgraded control arms and if I remember the only complaints come from the bushings wearing out prematurely, which only takes an hour or so to change, so far I have been completely happy with the 3" kit.

My main reason for choosing the 3" RC country kit is because it can be returned to stock very easily (no cutting of frame or diff mounts), i figure that if I end up changing the A Arm bushings once a year its no big deal since its an easy job and the bushings are cheap.

But so far I can see no signs of wear on anything, bushings or otherwise.

RC requires you to drill out the spindle to fit the new BJ's, and that kind of makes it not so easy to return back to stock.

No, not at all, the part you are drilling out is just some extra material that is at the very bottom of the taper (1/6th of an inch or so) where the stock balljoint never touches anyway, the stock balljoint still fits in the knuckle even after the "drilling".

Very easy to return to stock.

Alost sucks to spend all that time on bushings and money for alignments

If I end up having to change the bushings a lot then I might start to agree but so far there has been no signs of wear at all after 12K miles.

Does not seem any worse to me that the stock setup (and leveling kit) where the balljoints are wearing out after 20K-40K miles anyway.

As soon as I start to have issues with the 3" RC kit I might change my opinion of it but for now, I have had no issues and I can easily return my truck to stock if I decide to, so with that said, I still am very happy with my decision.

You will probaby be spending the same amount of time and money on Ball Joints with the leveling Kit.

Ive seen people posting up with 30k+ miles with 2" and 2.5" level kits with no issues and one guy with 60k miles on 2" RC level kit all original suspension. If my shit wears out its going to dealer after i put back to stock and they will fix it under warranty ;)

Me too. Thats why I bought the 3" kit. so it can go back to stock for waranty work if need be.

The factory waranty only covers the ball joints for 36,000 miles by the way, only the drivetrain is covered for 100,000 miles.
