50k Mile Maintenance Question....

Recommended Posts

i now have 51k miles on the truck and the book says to change tranny, diffs and transfer case fluids. i am going to be plowing with the truck this winter ( mine and maybe a few other driveways nothing commercial). most plow guys say to change all the fluids after the season to keep the truck running tip top for years.

so my question is should i do the fluids now and then again in the spring (seems like a waste to me) or just wait it out and do it once in the spring. i will probably have 58-60k miles on it by then. what would you do?

I would either change all of them now and be done with it, or wait and change all of them in the spring.

i would do the trans now, and just check the rest and change if questionable. come spring time change them all, even the trans again if it was a bad winter..

good luck
