Need to draw

Just changed the oil on my Grandma's 2002 Maibu. They told her to keep the reciepts,  o did, but one thing. She already had a bunch of the oil I was gonna use(Valv. 5W-30, its only at 9000), so I only had her buy two quarts. Upon getting there, I noticed she also already has a filter too. So my question is, will the reciepts still be good even though one only has 2 quarts of oil on it?

And would it be okay to not get a new filter next time(since she already has one), or do we need to get one just for the reciept? ???

I wouldn't worry about it too much, but if you want to continue, just make a note on the existing receipt that you used 2 1/4 qts of same oil you already had, date and initial it.

Same for the filter, I guess - I doubt anyone is going to be that picky, but it certainly can't hurt to keep some record - I have been indicating all maintenance in my owners's manual.

Doesn't she have a receipt for the rest of the oil?  She should have a receipt for the PF47 filter as that's the filter for a 3.1L V6 (unless she had a 3.1 before).

I wouldn't make that much of an issue of it unless you are experiencing oil related issues such as oil consumption.  In most cases even GM's recommended change intervals (in a perfect world) are around 7,500 miles, so you aren't that far off.
