i see they finally made an HD 2500 denali package, my yukon 2500 isnt a denali obviously but when the guy originally ordered it he got it with every option that a denali has,,,Everything! along with the 4l85e and 8.1

but how soon do you think they will make a 2500 yukon denali with a gas motor..i would love to see it with a 7.0L

ha i doubt that that would ever happen... i wish GM still made a big block.... they should make a GMC yukon denali 2500 duramax... that would be badass. thats a really badass yukon definatley one of my favorite trucks on this site.

thanks alot, yea a new vortec big block would be awesome..dont think there gonna exceed 8.1 liters though,

they dont put a diesel in the yukons, becuase the allison doesnt fit, butyou think they would have fixed that by now. they (gm) should make a newer more effecient 7.4 motor. or use that 7.0l thats goes in those vettes

Why wouldnt they use that 7.0L thats in the one model vet (zo6,,,zr1) in a new 2500 or 3500 application,

i think they would sell great.

i think that that engine is specifically built for corvettes... isnt it hand built in kentucky? GM probably want the 7.0 to be the exclusive vette engine anyway.

i doubt that the yukon will get a big block or a duramax....what gm needs to do is make an RCSB with a good motor. like 400+ HP almost every domestic manufacturer has done it...SRT, lightning. the closest thing gm has made for along time is the silverado SS. and lets face it...the dodge and the ford would smoke it. i should say did smoke it. i doubt they will do that man, would be awesome to have a d-max available in an suv but i doubter'

i agree that they should make a RCSB SS truck... they should make an it RWD with 7.0 or 6.2 supercharged..... but i would MUCH RATHER see a new big block engine.... i think a new redesigned 8.1 or 7.4 would sell really well...

yea a revised 8.1 would be awesome. doubt that or any cubic inches more will ever come. that 6.2 makes like 402 hp and sounds great but not sure on the torque.. theres obviously something with the goverment having there 2 cents, its no secret if there was a 2500hd/3500 available with a new gas big block they would sell probably more at first than a diesel..if guys who really pull and haul had an option other that a 6.0 or the $6-7000 duramax upgrade, they would grab them in a second..as far as im concerned about MPG,S.. if guys are really using there trucks to do a job, dont think the bigblock mileage would have an afect on purchase..

I was thinking about it at like 3:30 this morning..what if they made a new big block..8.1,8.4,etc...

with the variable timing or piston configuration, were it only runs on 4 cyl,s until you need more,

the government should be happy with that. and consumers happy with the effeceincy.

thats a good idea... im sure it would have its share of problems for the first few years though. what they should do is have selectable modes for all engines. full time 8, part time 8, and if its even possible full time 4cyl. that would be awesome. i highly doubt a new big block though..it would be a dream come true... your obviously a big block guy... what are you gonna get after your yukon? a diesel?

I have no idea..im sticking with this one for a while. ive had them all small blocks, big blocks, and diesels ford..chevy..gmc. the diesels are fun but dont really need that all the time, but like today i hauled 4000+lbs of pellets, so i really like having an hd with a decent motor.

theres another stupid thing, you can buy a 1500 yukon denali with a 6.2...but the 2500 yukon only gets the 6.0, what sense does that make?

where are you in scranton? anywere near thr RJ walker on rt 6

Posted

yeah i know...it seems weird to me too about the 1500's having a bigger motor then the 2500's. no im not really too close to scranton im about 20 miles up 81.

i think we definatley need a replacement motor for the 6.0.... or keep the 6.0 and give us a bigger option like a big block.

Posted
I think your going to see the 6.2 in an iron block in a year or so replacing the 6.0 :D

whats your opinion on a new motor? i think now the 2500 yukon/suburban is the ONLY gm vehicle with no engine option..its a 6.0 and thats it.. i just cant see gm not making another big block, they have been around since the 60,s correct?

i dont see what could be so hard about shoving a dmax in a 2500 yukon/sub. that would really sell like crazy. i think we have more hope for that then a big block. or maybe if GM makes the 4.5L dmax that would be awesome
