P0442 Code Again

2004 gmc yukon denali, 85K miles...hey guys, i got the p0442 code about a year ago and i replaced the gas cap and the purge valve solenoid with GM replacements, had the code cleared and it was fine and went away. Now almost a year later the CEL comes back on with the same p0442 code. Gas cap is and has been tight and there has never been a "tighten fuel cap" message. So now what could be the problem and what should i check? maybe the evap vent canister solenoid??? i read you can get a cavalier replacement for 30 bucks instead of getting the 300 dollar replacement that has to be rerouted. or are there other things i should check first. i just hoses anddidnt see any cracks, holes or leaks...thanks in advance!!!

I got mine that reroutes the breathing box and filter away from the underside of the carriage for 90 bucks or so...well worth it since I put my remote filter/intake box in the engine bay near the PCM

Edit: you could always remove the vent solenoid and bench test it

You can just take the old filter and move it to the engine bay, use 5/8" heater hose and hose clamps.

Those plastic hoses on there are garbage, I had this happen under warrenty to my personal truck and the dealer even uses heater hose.

Not sure about the bench testing.
