Just curious to see if anyone has done this and what i would need besides ecu wiring harness. I have the 4l60e, would i need the 4l80? Just want more power for work and play. Any feedback would be appreciated

It's been done, you don't need the 4L80e but upgrades to your 4L60e would be necessary unless you want to see it explode. The swap would be a direct bolt up... with programming changes.

it's a direct bolt in swap, you can get away without tuning, but it would be highly recommended (I know someone that ran around on 4.8L tune for a few weeks before he got around to tuning and it ran just fine).

Most people experience a transmission failure directly afterward, but there is a select few that have good luck, if you drive it hard (towing or racing) it's time will certainly be limited, but a GOOD builder can remedy that problem with a few upgrades.
