2007 Yukon Denali Hid Lights Intalled, Flickering Problem

I have a 2007 Yukon Denali, I recently installed a bi-xenon HID kit complete with HID Relay Harness. I though getting a HID kit complete with the relay harness will solve any light flickering problems since it will get it's power source directly from the battery instead of the headlight harness. Wrong.

When I unlock my doors and the courtesy lights come on, the right side HID bulb flickers and goes out. I have to turn the headlights off and on about 5 times, or wait 5 minutes while the engine is running to finally get both lights working. This is not a DRL problem, however I am thinking of removing the DRL Fuses to see what happens. I find this problem embarrasing in such a luxurious vehicle.

After some extensive internet research I found that sometimes, a HID relay doesn't solve all your light flickering problems. What is needed is a special capacitor that stores a power reserve so when you unlock your doors and courtesy lights come on thee is no fight for voltage. Anybody else with similar vehicles have this same problem, and any other fixes? Thank you

you can turn off the entrance/exit lighting. thats what i did to keep them from turning on and off so much. flickering and frequent on/off are the most common things to kill HIDs

Alright figured it out, turned off the entrance lighting so when i hit unlock on the remote it doesn't turn on my headlights, as wel as everything else outside which sucks! Temporary fix for now. When i start up the truck I have to turn the headlight switch all the way to right (full on) which also sucks but also a temporary fix. I hate overiding these options, I need to find a fix for this.

Yes, they come on in day time. I cannot control that. when the vehicle is in park it's fine i can turn the switch all the way to the left and turn the headlights off. As soon I put the vehicle into reverse or drive that's it, automatically switches my lights on again and i can't turn the headlights off in drive or reverse. I actually pulled number 30 and 32 fuses marked DRL and DRL 2.

I bought a 2008 Denali XL last january. It already had the HIDs installed. After a month of drving around the check engine light was coming off and on, also the turning chime would go silent along with the HIDs flickering. The code reader showed faulty O2 sensor, both fronts. This was at 86 000kms I replaced both. Everything fine for a while unitl the engine light come on once and a while and shows same code. Recently the HIDs began flickering, and then after a month one went out. I removed the headlight and found a horrible wiring job. It had all the right parts, ballast, relay, capacitor but poorly installed. I removed everything and installed a stock harness and bulbs until I could find out is wrong with the HID setup. Can a ballast fail? Where did you mount the ballasts and relays? I will post some pics of the capacitors tomorrow, they work to stop the flickering when unlocking the doors. I kept my exit lighting on and the HIDs stayed on fine.
