I have a 2010 GMC Sierra that didn't come with fog lights or a DIC. I noticed that there is an unused switch behind the headlight panel to the left of the steering wheel, is this for the DIC or the fog lights.

Are you refering to an unused harness with about 4-5 wires? If so then yes that is for the DIC!

I find it funny that people are so anxious to change the gender of their trucks. It seems most people aren't happy with their trucks until they have installed a DIC! My truck is currently DIC-less, however, I too am considering a DIC upgrade. (for my truck). :D LOL - I can't believe GM settled on this name with such a hilarious acronym.

I couldn't help but notice you got a sierra without fog lights? Fog lights are not that hard to install on these trucks the trickyest part is putting the purple wire in the junction block. There is a really good thread that describes where to put it, I found the provided instructions with the kit where somewhat confusing at first glance.

This thread was by far the most helpful in this install. The best time to do it is when you do the DIC, as you will need to remove that same panel to install the new headlight switch!
