K&n Vs. Volant

If you want noticeable power increase, get a tune. Most everything will just make more noise.

I have the volant on my 09 5.3. I am pleased with it. Sounds good when you get on it. Not too much of a diff in power id say. Like they said get a tune if you want to feel something. Im finally gettin BB tuned in Nov

go with a Volant with a Dry Filter, they have a sealed enclosure. With the K&N filter the oil ends up on the MAF sensor and you have to clean regularly

yes if you go with volant get the non oiled filter. this filter has a 100,000 mile life (i believe) with no oiling or maint.

I've had both. Never had a problem with either. Currently have the Volant non oiled filter. I prefer it because it's maintenance free.
