Headlight Override Question

I have a 99 Silverado and hate not having control over my headlights. Could I simply swap out the dash piece that has the headlight and dome override controls from a newer truck that allows you to override the headlights by pressing the dome button 4 times.

 

I really dont want to do an R&D setup, I just want to be able to disable them temporarly.

Not sure on that one.  I would think it's programmed into the BCM also.

 

Got a friend that you can swap switches with to test it out?

Easiest way is to just swap the BCM to a similarly equipped truck 00-02.

I see these BCM's on Ebay go for around $15.

FREE advise to turn off those PIA auto

ons and DRLs on most vehicles !

My 01 it was as simple as taking out

the headlight switch and plugging

the wires in differently.  ...geo
