Dl8 Mirror Replacement

Is it possible to replace just the mirror glass on a DL8 (power heated) mirror? I shattered the passenger side mirror glass a couple of weeks ago and need to replace it. I have another complete mirror, but the housing is broken on it. I was thinking of taking the good glass and power actuator from that mirror and swapping it over into the mirror on my truck. Can this be done? If so, how does the mirror glass come out without breaking the good actuator and gear arms?
