Finally did it...

Traded the 99 GMC ext cab stepside Z71 for a 01 Chevy reg cab stepside Z71. Truck is black with a 4.8, auto, locker, buckets, fog lights, rear window defroster, tow package. I am in love with this thing. Runs lika a scalded dog. I will try to post pics this week. Mods to follow.

What motor was in the '99? Glad you got a new truck and are happy with it... This new generation of Vortec motors really are strong!!! I accidently "light them up" all the time....

Old truck had the 255 hp version of the 4.8. The extra hp combined with a lighter truck really makes a difference. Just some added thoughts the 01 seems to be alot tighter, better manufactured then the 99.

Thanks to all. I will keep you posted on progress of mods and other stuff. I am not planning many mods Line-X, Step bars, K & N drop in, Huskey Liners you know the usual stuff. I will get some pics posted this week. By the way how do you post pics???LOL
