Heating/cooling Expansion Noises

when i park my truck at night in the garage and tun off the ignition I start to hear a bunch of tink, tink noises, which I assume is engine cooling down due to contraction, but it's coming from the rear end. Also, while at stop signs and red lights I can hear this. Is this normal?

X2, it's thin metal and it expands and contracts quickly.

yeah no worries man, i think my heat sheild on my muffler is loose it makes a nice pop after it cools down a little
