I have a question for anybody that might know about superchips products. My friend

has a superchips programmer its red he told me, he had a jeep 2007 wrangler. He sold

it and returned it back to stock. The question is, can I use this programmer on my 2009

z71 or are these vehicle specific?? He told me I could have it and I will be needing something

in the near future as I am going to be putting bigger tires on and wanting to calibrate the

speedo. Anybody know???

We were just talking about it and I told him I was going to have to get one when I put new tires on and I don't wanna do a blackbear tune because it is not something you can change and seems like a hassle. not anything right away but he mentioned he had his just collecting dust and offered it to me so I told him I would check with you guys and do a little research..... thats all....BUT perhaps so :dunno:

superchips will let you trade it in for a discount on a new one. if hes willing to give it up for free to you,

the black bear auto cal is the same as any other hand held programmer. plus the tune is alot better

+1 and I have had both. Superchips is my pick for a handheld tune, but if you can spring for the Blackbear Autocal tune you will not be sorry. And Blackbear can update your tune for whatever changes you make. Excellent customer service.

I'll +2 on the Blackbear Autocal. It's just like a handheld but with a better tune. About the same money too.

i gotta ask though, do you really see any noticeable performance gain after you reprogram the truck?

I just retuned my wifes jeep with the canned superchips tune. the only reason i bought the tuner was to correct the speedo for the larger tires.

The difference was night/day in terms of driveability. I forgot how much a simple tune can wake up a vehicle. I'm sure i'll have Justin tune my truck eventually.
