Cleaned Throttle Body, Engine Now Idles At 3,000 Rpm

I removed the throttle body this afternoon to clean it with throttle body and intake cleaning spray. After I put everything back together and started the truck I noticed the engine RPM jumped up kind of high before returning back to Idle. I then reved the engine up and after that it won't come below 3,000 RPM's. I've taken everything apart and doubled checked and can't find anything wrong. Does anyone have any ideas?

Truck is a 2008 GMC 1500 SLT with 5.3.

do you have any trouble codes? did you use a new gasket when you put the throttle body back on? my first thought is perhaps you have a vacuum leek thats allowing unmetered air through. does the throttle blade close all the way when the engine's off.

There is a vacuum hose from the intake tube to the engine that must have come disconnected.

I have a older 5.3 (2000), so I am not sure if this applies. I replaced the Idle Control Valve on friday. I thought I was careful when installing- but the end result was High idle, really High idle. Turns out it was because I had the Valve assembley slightly "cocked" in the bore. It did set a code after awhile, not immediately. I re-installed the valve, cleared the codes, and the high idle issue went away. Too bad it didn't help with my rough idle.
