Ok, first off I have to say I hate this site! Only because I want to do about 10 different things to my truck now, and that will cost me money!! Damn you people and your good ideas!

 

I am the proud owner of an '08 Silverado WT, very basic no frills, and I love it. I have already discovered the DIC upgrade I can do (thanks to this site), and already purchased the parts from GM Parts Direct.

 

What I want to know is, what other plug and play mods can I do? I would love to have heated side view mirrors with the turn signal, and maybe the Onstar Auto dim mirror.

The heated or turn signal mirrors will NOT be plug and play for a WT package-I'm 98% sure of that.

A hear ya man, this site is the best and so are these trucks! I also own a W/T but its a GMC not a Chevy.

 

 

DIC Tomb and Fog lights are plug and play, although the fog lights are easier to do on a Sierra than a Silverado.

i hear ya on modding the truck buddy. i wanna start sinlking money into mine aswell but its hard to juggle the money around between the truck my street bike and a track bike im building. they all want attention, oh and i forgot the wife, cause she needs pretty things from time to time too. better not forget her. haha.

 

 

look into some fog lights and then do the 6 headlight mod. i did it the other night, fantastic. you throw on your high beams and the low beams high beams and fog lights all come on. total cost was about 3 bucks and 15 minutes time to do it to my 06.

The rear wheel fender liners are one of the most practical "mods" I've seen.

Got my new DIC Friday, couldn't wait to unpack it and play with it.

Wife yelled at me driving to dinner Friday, she said I was playing with my new DIC to much!!

go to gmpartsdirect.com and play with the accessory page. you should find all your answers there. you need to buy a new steering wheel by the way, and you must have a compatible radio to interface with them. some of the WT's didnt have them. assuming you have a cd player, i think you will be ok.
