Noisy Adjustable Pedal Motor?

i have noticed during the last week or so when opening the door to my YD that while the pedals are moving to my memory position (as my wife is the primary driver of the SUV) that there is a grinding noise coming from either the pedal mechanism or the motor that moves the pedals? i manually moved the back and forth about 10x to see if it was just a matter of them not being moved frequently enough and that seemed to quiet it in only one direction? i did a search but was unable to locate any other instances of this happening...

Secondly i notice that since taking a 2500mi round trip that if i leave my key on for more than a couple minutes the "battery low start vehicle" message is displayed in the DIC?? i had the battery load tested today and said it was ok/low meaning it would pass but was in need of a charge? when the truck is running the volt gauge is above 14, actually looks like it's closer to 15+.. Before the trip i noticed when cruising around the volt gauge was always below the 14, which puzzled me because i was pretty sure the charging system is supposed to be putting out 14.4v when the engine was on? anyone have this before?

A sign of a bad battery is the volt gauge running high, because the regulator in the alt is trying to put more power to the battery to charge it and it's not charging, so it keeps giving it more, because it still thinks it's low. This can also lead to premature alt. failure from the alt running a heavy duty cycle all the time

Weak battery could also be the cause for the "grinding" pedals because the motor is not getting all the juice it needs, and is thus running slower. But, this battery will still start the vehicle, no problem....drag...etc.?

It could still be low power when running if the alternator is having to work hard. You need a new battery anyway so try that first.
