Airaid Mit

I order Airaid 200-996 MIT. Although Airaid says it will only fit 2007 & 2008 models, not so true. The only interference problem I had is where the upper radiator hose is barely touching the MIT tube. I don't see any other reasons not to use it for all GMT900's.

On my test drive I felt better throttle response and a noticeable growl from under the hood. You can tell the motor is really sucking in air. Lol My next mod will be exhaust. :P

I had the MIT on my truck until I went on a 5 hour ride on the highway one day, the drone that came from the MIT was too annoying, I took it back off after that trip. But if you like it then great, not saying its a bad mod

At least it cleans it up under the hood and im sure i will spend money or other crap so why not, it cant hurt mileage can it....that is unless you keep your foot in it to hear it roar....i have heard some say that their exhaust note changed some, any truth to that?

Yea, if your foot is in it, you can hear the growl/drone. I only notice it in the upper RPMs, 4k and up. It actually sounded like I had an aftermarket exhaust. lol I really don't drive in that RPM range at all... so it wouldn't bother me one bit. As far as the outside exhaust tone, I didn't hear a difference.

Yeh i usually don't keep mine there either but when you do, its nice to know you have it or a little extra. Kinda like my G8, doesn't have to go 0-60 in under 6 but it will....well it tends to a little more when i drive it!

I saw your post and ordered one up for myself. Google search came up with one for less than $110 shipped. I like the stock air box and MAF setup. This tube cleans up the piping and looks to add the benefit of CAI.

I have mine on the work bench. Waiting for an updated tune before installing it.
