Fuel Line Holding Pressure

Hi i recently installed a new fuel pump in my 2000 sierra and now it doesnt seem to hold the pressure in the fuel line when the truck sits for a period of time like over night so it makes it hard to start as the fuel line needs to prime up...does anyone have any ideaswhat my problem could be...thanks

Have you checked the fuel pressure regulator?

A cheap fuel pump will do the same thing..usually sooner than later. The pumps that these trucks take are costly and it makes me cringe watching someone buy a cheap pump...not saying you did, but it can always be a possiblity. ACDelco or Delphi are the way to go.

I didnt think $450 was cheap at the time however i did'nt purchase Delco or Delphi...i hope that doesnt come back to bite me on the ass...
