Take the bottle jack that your truck comes with for changing a flat tire. Put it under your front crossmember and jack up the front of your truck until its 2" higher.

Snap some pics and you'll know exactly what your truck will look like. Won't take long either

I'll wait here :(

It will look better than it does now. Do it

Plenty of pics here of leveled trucks with stock wheels/ tires.

Add the kit and then worry about the tires later. It will look fine...especially if you know you are going to get new tires. A lot of people only put the leveling kit in and keep the stock wheels and tires.

Judging by your screen name Clayton and what your asking, mine should help.

This is just with the Daystar leveling kit (2") that I had originally with factory blocks. I drove it around for a while like this, yours will look good with a leveling kit and stock wheels/tires.

I would go for the 2" as a minimum. I put the CCM 2.5" leveling kit on mine and couldn't be happier. I have 15k miles on my truck now with absolutely no regrets. Ride is great. Tire wear is great. No problems whatsoever. Pics are below.

Me too, ive got about 30,000 on 3 different setups (daystar 2" leveling kit, RC 3" lift, and now CCM 2.5"). I did have to replace a front axle with a torn outer CV boot (hair line rip at one of the claps holding it on axle). Not sure if it was due to the lifts or hit something.

Question for you guys. I have a RC lift sitting on my workbench ready to put in. However, I tow a rather good size trailer (29 ft., double axle, 5000lbs dry) And yes I use the full distribution hitch, sway control, and so on. When I hitch up NOW, the truck 'levels' (brings the back end down). With the 2" level kit in the front, It will sag in the back.

If I replace the stock 1.25" blocks with 2" blocks in the back, will that be enough to counteract this sag? Want to know BEFORE I install the kit on the front...

thanks

A 2" leveling kit levels your truck pretty close. If you hook up a trailer with no kit, and it levels your truck, then it drops your rear close to 2". That means if you level the front end, you will need to go up almost 2" in the rear so when you are towing, it will level it back out. Your going up 2" in the front and .75" in the rear, so you will still sag in the rear with the trailer. I would go with a 3" block in the rear if you want it to be close to level when towing your trailer.

Hm thanks, I was afraid of that. With 3" blocks the shocks would have to be replaced.

And for the price of the shocks and 3" blocks and maybe an oil change you could get yourself some Air Bags for the rear. Thats my plan..get the level then when I tow one day, air bags

Glad to see the kit made it too you.

I was set up the same with the trailer issues. I started with a 1" block added to the rear. Didnt like the safety issue so I swapped to a 2" block. Worked great with a WD hitch and sit fairly level.

Then went to the Adj Bilstiens lost about 1/4 inch in the front. Still not bad with it being fairly level.

The answer is to just buy the Airlift 1000 bags (bout 150) and call it a day. You will not be disappointed. The bags are the second thiung I should have done after the tranny cooler. Think it over and do the math, save money the first time and do it right if you are worried about being level with a trailer.

Just realize that with the 3" blocks and no trailer you will look like a stink bug going down the road.
