P0141 02 Heater Circuit

Hello forum,

I would really appreciate some help. I have a 98 Yukon with a DTC P0141 stating 02 heater Circuit Bank 1 sensor 2.

 

Does anyone have a probably fix for this. i.e. do I need to replace a sensor of some kind. Vehicle runs well but the engine warning light is on.

I've read a few posts but any up to date feedback is appreciated. Or can anyone recommend a a good diagnostic software program I can purchase to help .

One of your oxygen sensors is bad. They have built in filaments that are heaters, & when they fail, the

whole O2 sensor needs replacing.

I don't know which one is Bank 1 sensor 2. Research on your particular engine O2 placement will identify

which one it is. The internet is your friend on this one.

Bank 1 sensor 2

 

Driver side is bank 1. Pass side is bank 2

 

So, you need the 2nd sensor, driver side

Also this will be the downstream sensor (after the catalytic converter) and not the one attached to the exhaust manifold of bank1.
