Bilstein Shocks.

I have a 08 Z71 4x4 and I bought my truck with a leveling kit on the front, I am considering switching to the Bilstein shock setup since I have read great reviews on them.

My question is, What are the part numbers that everyone is using? I am just looking to keep the stock height in the back and the 2" level in the front.

Are these the right ones?

Front: F4-BE5-E376-H1

Rear: F4-BE5-E377-H0

Also, is there any other parts that need to be installed or is it just simply the shocks and struts?

Thanks

Look correct to me. I got mine from don's sport vehicles. All 4 were 378.90 shipped.

I just got mine delivered yesterday from suspensionconnection, i got a full set of bilstein 5100 zinc series delivered to my door for $307

Those are for the older model. You are looking at over 400 dollars for the ones he needs through Suspension Connection link.

330 is still the best price for the adj 5100 GMT900 series

You will not need anything else. Set the struts on the highest setting for a perfect level ride.

$330.00 Shipped to your door, this is the Best price I have found. Great shocks and a great company to deal with!

This is where I got my 5100's, $330 shipped. I installed my fronts on the 3rd groove from the bottom. Took it to 1.5" lift. As far as their rate vs. the OE black shocks, they are softer in both compression (which helps smooth out the bumps a bit better) and rebound, to my surprise. Not alot of difference, though. I figured atleast they would have more rebound (stiffer on extension). I wonder how they compare to the HD's?

BTW, They look great too! I peeled the stickers off and clear coated them for some extra corrosion protection, then reapllied the stickers.

I've had them in my 08 Vmax CC for about a yr and half now. Love em. The stock shocks allowed the truck to bounce around like a bobble head. It actually felt like the shocks were wornout when the truck was new. It felt downright unstable to me. The 5100 shocks fixed that. I set them at one groove up from the bottom...maybe 5/8" lift? Together with the larger tires and topper and aluminum gun bed drawers, the truck sets just slightly nose down empty. When fully loaded for a long trip, it's a bit tail low. I'm thinking of Firestone airbags.

If I install these, should I take off the leveling kit that is currently on the truck? Or should I just leave the leveling kit on and just add these and set them at one of the lower settings? Im not sure which one it is because I bought the truck with it already on but the truck sits perfectly level right now. Thanks

I would leave your leveling kit in if your happy with it. Set the Struts at the lowest (Stock) setting.

The Bilstein struts will only lift around 1.7" and they will make a harsher ride because they increase the pressure on the spring.
