Rc 5" Or Zone 4.5"

I was wondering if anyone had any input or experience on either one of these kits. I don't think a 6" is a right fit for me as i drive a lot and have no interest of 35s. I has an 08 silverado with a 2 1/2 inch lift. Got if off Ebay and worked great for anyone interested. Anyways, what are your impresions of these. Does one require less modification than the other? Does one work better with stabilitrac than the other?

well if you want to go with 33s im pretty sure the 4.5 will suffice.

4.5 is plenty for 33's

 

I personally would go with the Zone for the few extra bucks. I believe their quality is better than RC. ( A few people had some bad experiences with the RC 3") Granted this is not the same kit but I just feel the Zone is better quality .

 

You also get better rear blocks (IMO) and ne front struts for a little better ride. You can also upgrade to a Nitro shock with Zone for 22 bucks more(total for both shocks)

What size tire are you wanting to run? What about wheel specs? A 33x12.50 on most wheels will rub a little with 5" of lift and there is at least one member I can think of who experienced minor rubbing with 6". If it were me I would get a 6" suspension and a true 33x12.50.

I was thinking of either 305/55/20 or 285/60/20

 

Any other suggestions would be great. Also what is the best way to sell my tires that have under 1000miles on them?

Levelling kit and a 3" bl should clear 305/55/20 from what I have learned on here.

 

The 285's will clear on a levelling kit alone. ( or get the Zone Offroad Combo 1.5 body lift and levelling kit). I had test fit 285/55's and the width was close but minor rubbing may still need to trim a hair. 275/65 fit no problem just crappy choices at the time so i went with 275/60 on a levelling kit only. The height difference is about 1 inch and with our trucks you can fit a tall tire its the width we have to watch.

 

Like Blackout said though... What kind off wheels basically due to backspacing anything we tell you can change...

 

If you go with a lift I would suggest BDS or Zone who have 4" kits. Skyjacker has a good 3" kit. Stay away from Rough Country 3". only down fall is a 6" kit is the same or within a few bucks of all the 4" kits.

 

A 6" kit looks good with a wide 33" tire.... Just saying... Backspacing at 5" to 5.75" you should not rub or very minimal.
