If its been sitting awhile (overnight, after work, etc) when I turn the key the solenoid just clicks rapidly until I let go. I turn the key off retry it and fires right up like nothing ever happened. Just replaced cap, rotor, plugs, wires, crankshaft sensor. Battery is good. is this just a tell-tale sign of my starter going out? Or is there a few other things I can do/check?

there is not a real ign switch only a tell tale feed to the ECM ,it then grounds the solinoid trigger feed to the solinoid of the starter

Clean and inspect both cables end to end and be sure they're tight. Wiggle after tightening to make sure.
