I want a modest lift on my GMT900. I do alot of highway travel but do need to go off road some. I'm thinking just a Zone 1.5 BL. What will a levelling kit do for me? Do most people that have a BL also have a levelling kit? Does anyone have pictures of a 1.5 BL with or without a levelling kit?

Leveling kit with a body lift will give you alot of room for some taller tires. Both will achieve what your looking for fairly cheap.

That would be the cheapest option to give your truck a little more aggressive stance. I guess the question you should answer before you start lifting is what size tires do you plan on running?

just a 285? or do you want to go with full blown 33" mud or A/T tire. If you want to go with full size 33x12.5 or 305 width tire you will need a little more lift. Thats the size of tire that really starts to make the truck look more aggressive. In order to run that you would need a 1.5" leveling kit (or 2") and the 3" body lift.

With that setup you still dont spend much money on your left and you are getting pretty close to the same lift as the 6" suspension lifts but you wont clear 35s

Zone sells a 3.5 combo kit. Which is the 1.5 body lift and a 2 Level. It's like 199.95 plus 49.95 for the rear bumper relocation kit so 250.00. They site doesn't list one for the 2011's yet but only a matter of time.

Zone says you can run a 33x12.5 tire on the stock wheels with that set up.

Thanks, that sounds like a pretty good deal. Being able to put it on myself is a big plus. Are the 2011;s any different than the 2010's?

I don't know if there is any differences or not but a quick call or email to Zone tomorrow should get you that answer.

Zone says you can run that size but i know that people have said they had slight rubbing with a 33x12.5 on the 3" BL plus level kit if you dont be careful with the BS so I wouldnt even consider with just the body lift and 2". I haven't tried myself though so its all just my opinion.

I'm no expert but I don't believe you HAVE to get the relocation kit. Your rear bumper will just be 1.5 inches lower than where it sits now. Well actually it will be in the same place but the body will be 1.5" taller :sigh: But I'm pretty sure it will work without the bumper relocation.

Email Zone and ask them they are pretty good at answering questions like that one.

I found out from Zone that the current kit does not yet work with the 2011 models yet. They are modifying the kit to include a ground line extension. He didn't know an ETA for the updated kit.

There are small differences between the 2010's and 2011's. What they all are, I don't know...

In my shopping for body lifts I see alot of people consider a 2'' levelling kit and a 1.5'' BL to be a 3.5'' lift. Isn't that a bit misleading when really its a 1.5'' lift but the front is raised to the same level as the back?

Or am i missing something.

A 6" suspension lift is 6 front/4.5 rear. But its called 6 inches

Nope. All lift kits with achieve a level or close to level look, which means they will raise the front more than the rear.
