Taking delievery of a 2011 sheer silver silverado in a couple weeks and want to make sure it says looking good with all my highway traveling. I've only owned black cars in the past and I have seen the damage rocks and scratches to the appearance of the cars. Is a clea bra necessary for a silver truck? I chosed silver because I assume rock chips and scratches are hardly noticeable, is this true? If I do get a clear bra, where is the best spots to get covered up? hood, grille, bumper, mirrors, what else?

You can still see rock chips in the silver. Have a few in the front bumper and one on the hood. I will take a pic tomorrow and post for you so you can see. It was way up on the hood and a clear protector sheet wouldnt have worked.

i would put the bra on the bumper, grill, mirrors, half-way or the whole hood. and definitely around the wheel wells. i have alot of stone chips behind the rear wheel well, and right behind the headlights.

you could always cover the whole truck with the clear coat. you will stop every stone that comes at you at all directions :(
